From the day that President Trump took office, liberals and the media have been working overtime to discredit the President and his team in an attempt to persuade his supporters to give up.
It’s been an all out, unrelenting assault on the President of the United States in the media and by the Democrats, and it’s almost impossible to distinguish between the two of them.

The media has likened President Trump to Hitler, the Taliban, floated false rumors about his use of a Russian prostitute and accused his administration of being pro-slavery.
This morning, ConservativeByte.com has a fantastic article titled “New York Times Falsely Accuses Trump, Then Exonerates Him?”
Last night, Ed Henry of Fox News interviewed Zac Petkanas, Director of the Trump war room at the Democratic National Convention. Petkanas hysterically claimed that the “Trump-Scandal is bigger than Watergate” as Henry pressed him repeatedly on his ridiculous claim and said, “it seems talking points are going around.”
Just because the media and Democrats scream loud, it doesn’t mean they have a big stick.
Noise is all they have, they can’t do anything other than scream and make allegations.
In the meantime, President Trump has done more in three weeks than most Presidents do in four years.
Maybe that’s a bit of hyperbole, but he’s moving quickly.
There is incredibly good news on talks to improve the economy with small business, women entrepreneurs, big business, and retailers.
Tax cuts are on the horizon, and Obamacare is being dismantled piece-by-piece. Yesterday, Reason.com shared that the IRS will now ignore the mandate question on your tax returns if you choose not to tell them.
Immigration promises that the President made are being fulfilled.
It seems that more positive things have happened in 3 ½ weeks of President Trump’s tenure than in all eight years of President Obama.
But you won’t hear much of that unless you’re really paying attention through all of the noise being created.
To be fair, there have been some missteps and bad quotes and perhaps some earned negative press.
However, the real story is how the media and Democrats have all but given up going after the President. Instead, they are aiming for you, his supports.
They want to demoralize you and they want you to feel that your support for him is in vain.
They failed to understand how President Trump won the election, and they fail to understand the bond that most Trump supporters have with the President.
How are the Media and Democrats Trying to Discourage Trump Supporters?
Democrats are powerless to do anything politically, and they know it. They simply don’t have the numbers to stop the Republicans and the President from fulfilling their agenda.
But what they do have is a very loud and vocal group that is spreading a very dangerous narrative that will only serve to divide the country even more than it already is.
What has been the strategy to this point they are employing?
Let’s look at a few:
1) Misleading Media
Over the last three weeks, it seems the media has been more hostile to President Trump than they were of President George W. Bush or President Reagan.
The hysteria by the media has been unrelenting and while it doesn’t phase the President and his agenda, their effort is to discourage his voters and supporters.
The media has finally proven what many have suspected for decades. They finally exposed to the public that they are not unbiased and now they have no intention or desire to be intellectually honest.
Last week on Meet the Press, Chuck Todd referred to the media as the fourth branch of government. This assumes a privilege they don’t have. They are not the government.
They are guaranteed the right of a free press, but that right is no less important than any other right in the Bill of Rights.
For example, the media is no less the fourth branch of government than religion.
Could you imagine a religious leader saying that their religion was a branch of government?
Some Examples of the Media’s Obvious Attempts to Discourage Trump Supporters on a Daily Basis
Here are just instances of the media spoiling the water…
“I was just on a network yesterday where they spent half the day accusing the President of being a pathological liar and mentally ill. I mean, I think even you agree, you’ve known Donald Trump for a long time, neither one of those things are true.”
Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy, referring to an interview with CNN’s Brian Stelter on Sunday February 12, 2017.
“Welcome, today one of what is arguably the biggest presidential scandal involving a foreign government since Iran-Contra. Take a breath, hyperbole aside, folks, hunker down cause this is a class five political hurricane that’s hitting Washington.”
Chuck Todd of MSNBC’s MTP on the Resignation of Michael Flynn
“The thing about this all that is so concerning to me is that the President is undermining all these American institutions. He’s going after the press, he’s going after the judiciary. “It’s starting to make it seem a little bit, also, like ‘America first’ is really ‘white America first.’”
Jamal Simmons on ABC’s This Week – Sunday February 12, 2017.
“Good news: In two years, we’ll have a new president. Bad news: If we make it that long.
My “good” prediction is based on the Law of the Pendulum. Enough Americans, including most independent voters, will be so ready to shed Donald Trump and his little shop of horrors that the 2018 midterm elections are all but certain to be a landslide — no, make that a mudslide — sweep of the House and Senate. If Republicans took both houses in a groundswell of the people’s rejection of Obamacare, Democrats will take them back in a tsunami of protest.”
Kathleen Parker in her Washington Post column, February 10, 2017
“The very communities which elected Trump in West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, are ravaged by an opioid epidemic, they will be the first hit. Lives will be lost! Lives are in the balance!”
Katrina vanden Heuvel on ABC’s This Week, February 12, 2017
In addition, there are topics the media just can’t stop talking about:
- The claim that no terrorist attacks have come from the 7 countries on the travel ban list – which has been proven false. In fact, more than 70 suspected terrorists from countries in Trump’s travel ban were convicted or investigated
- Stories of how Trump and his family are financially benefiting because of the Office of the Presidency
- How the White House is in complete chaos and disarray
- Kellyanne Conway should be under ethical investigation for her admitted wrong endorsement of Ivanka Trump’s product line
- Oh, lest I forget Russia… all things Russia…
- The idea that the Tea Party of the left has finally arrived… not so fast. Let’s see if it’s sustained and if there is sweeping change in the voter demographic that converts Washington and two-thirds of the state houses back to Democrats and the left
2) Scorned Democrats
Democrats are also up to playing their usual games. From everything to race, corruption and possible impeachment.
They are working overtime to create seeds of doubt in a world where they are left powerless in every area except for perhaps air-time in the media to share their grievances.
For all of their talk of tolerance, acceptance and a desire to bring the country together, it won’t happen unless it’s on their terms.
What I find strikingly funny is that a few years ago California Democrats were mocking Texas for threatening to secede.
In my article on Monday titled “President Trump’s “So Called Judge” Comment is Hardly Unprecedented,” I shared some quotes of noteworthiness:
On Face the Nation, Chuck Schumer (D), Senate Minority Leader said; “…we have a President who is overreaching dramatically, who shows little respect for rule of law, who seems to violate the Constitution in his first three weeks, and intimidates judges who have cases before them.”
On Fox New Sunday, Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD) said; “…we have a President that has shown a real disrespect for the judicial branch of government.”
In addition, Maxine Waters (D- CA) is already putting impeachment on the table.
Nancy Pelosi on Meet the Press: “I want to know what the Russians have on Donald Trump. I think we have to have an investigation by the FBI into his financial, personal and political connections to Russia and we want to see his tax returns so we can have truth in the relationship [with] Putin, whom he admires.”
Furthermore, do I really need to say anything about Elizabeth Warren or Al Franken? Their absurd statements aren’t worth repeating. It’s one thing to disagree with policies, it’s another thing to attack people’s character who have served with honor.
3) Bureaucrats Inside the Government Feeding the Narrative
I won’t say to overly much, except that the leaks that are coming out have to stop. While leaks have always been a part of Washington, these are clearly leaks intended to hurt the President and those around him.
If this continues, it could lead to questions about who is ultimately running the government.
Is it the CIA or NSA?
Does it matter?
The question is; who works for whom?
4) Through the Courts
Finally, checks and balances are the trademark of our republic as I talked about yesterday. The courts play a vital role in ensuring that our liberties are protected against the abuses of the legislative and executive branches.
However, their job is not to write legislation like the Ninth Circuit did last week in their hearing on the travel ban to and from seven mMuslimcountries.
Democrats have seen the writing on the wall for almost a decade as they have lost election after election in the House of Representatives and the Senate. Since they lost the Presidency the only way to continue their agenda is through the courts.
National Review has a great article that explains the ruling, why it’s terrible, and what it means moving forward.
Why are the Media and Democrats Trying to Discourage Trump Supporters?
It’s simple, President Trump in just a few weeks is undoing everything Obama and the Democrats have done in the last eight years, starting with Replacing Obama’s Executive Orders and regulations, and creating new ones:
- The EPA’s overhanded environmental regulations
- The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare)
- Border security and immigration enforcement improvements
- Sanctuary cities
- Ethics on lobbying after government service
- Slashing two regulations for each new one created
- Preventing government bailouts
- Create a task force that would propose new legislation to reduce crime, highlighting drug trafficking, illegal immigration and violent crime
- Enhance the protection and safety” of law enforcement by increasing penalties for crimes committed against officers
- Cutting down on organized crime — including gangs, cartels and racketeering organizations
Second, if President Trump is successful, he will change the trajectory of the country in such a way that Democrats may find themselves out of power for a very long time in all three branches of the Federal government.
He will, in the words of Obama, fundamentally change America.
The thought of a country that they can’t control scares them to no end.
Their vision of America is a very different vision from middle America, and the country as a whole has rejected their message since 2010.
During Obama’s Presidency:
- Democrats lost nearly 900 seats in state houses around the country
- 35 state legislative chambers flipped to Republicans
- Republicans hold 68 of the 99 state legislative chambers in the country
- Democrats lost 14 governorships
- Democrats have only 5 states where they control the legislatures and governorships
Identity politics has deeply hurt the Democrat party and for the foreseeable future all they have to rely on are a few courts and the media.
As a result, they will say and do anything they can to stop President Trump. They will create barriers and resist even when they have common areas of agreement with the President.
They will make false accusations and claims, impune colleagues, make false claims and attempt to discredit anyone around the President as they seek to create a narrative to remove him from office.
Trump Supporters Will Not Give Up So Easily
While the Democrats pout and resist, President Trump keeps moving forward without them and the winners are the American people.
If the President is successful in tax reform, building the economy and reforming government the ones who will benefit are us, the American people.
As long as his supporters feel he is doing everything he can to fulfill his campaign promises there is virtually no scenario where his supporters will abandon him.
While there may be moments that the left screams loud, everyone needs to remember that it has only been a few weeks that he has been in office.
Just look at the list above of all that has already been accomplished.
There is much more to do.
There will be challenges ahead in both foreign and national affairs.
The key is to look past the noise.
They tried to say in the early days of the campaign that Donald Trump was a joke, he can’t win, and he will never be President.
Just because a group screams loud, it doesn’t mean they have a big stick.
